The Harrison Township community is grieving the loss of Jason Harb, a well-known and much-loved barber whose passing has touched family members, friends, clients, and fellow business owners.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Al’s Barber Shop, where staff described Jason as a beloved barber and friend whose absence will be deeply felt. According to the shop’s statement, the business will remain closed until further notice while staff members take time to grieve. They also asked the public to keep Jason’s family, friends, and loved ones in their thoughts and prayers, promising to share updates about reopening when they are able.
Jason is survived by his wife and children, including a young son. He was known throughout the area not only for his skill behind the chair but also for the warmth he brought to everyone who sat in it.
Community remembers a barber who made everyone feel welcome
As word of Jason’s death spread, countless people came forward to share memories that highlighted both his talent as a barber and his kindness as a person.
One longtime client recalled that Jason had been cutting his hair for nearly a decade, a relationship that began back when Jason was still attending barber school and slowly earned his trust. That kind of loyalty says a lot about the connection he built with the people he served.
